Negative Thinking Affects Us Too ...

It may be an obvious statement but let's emphasize it again because I believe it's worth it:

We ARE what we THINK!

The way we think affects
our well-being.

We totally create our own lives - via our way of thinking, mental affirmations and emotional expressions.

As Norman Peale said, change your thoughts - and you totally change your world.

In the world that we live in - often filled with negativity thrown at us from all the corners - staying positive can be a challenge.

The real issue here is that negative thinking DOES affect our health, and consequently, the quality of life.

Can it contribute to tiredness and even depression? It certainly can.

Most people don't even realize that they are being negative because this process runs in the background, on the subconscious level.

And this makes it trickier to deal with.

So what CAN we do to stay in harmony within ourselves and the outside world?

Here are some interesting suggestions:

  • positive thinking, dreams
    Thinking & dreaming positively
    is a must for a happy life.

    Being grateful for what we already have - our families, friends, good food & shelter and so on - and trying to "always look on the bright side of life" is a sure recipe for happiness and overall balance.

Many medical trials also prove that ill people who have a positive attitude towards their recovery often do much better than the ones who don't.

  • Choosing wisely how we spend our time.

If you spend a lot of time on social networking websites, make sure you only follow people and companies that inspire you and boost your self-confidence.

Turn off TV, or at least limit TV time to only watching comedies and other uplifting shows.

  • Choosing wisely with whom we spend our time, too.

People we spend time with have an enormous influence on us.

Surround yourself only with positive people - the ones who understand you and support you in everything you do.

  • Making a conscious decision to:

    1) be influenced only by people who make us feel good about ourselves, and

    2) provide an ongoing motivation to those closest to us.

As a result, be prepared to notice:

- how positive thinking changes your own inner state, and

- how your positive attitude affects people around you.

No doubt about it, our brains hold many clues to how we feel about ourselves and the world around us.

Make sure *your* brain is tuned the right way! Remember to supply it with good food on a regular basis.
